Child traveling alone

According to the regulations of the government of Philippines, passengers under 15 years of age
unaccompanied by a parent is not allowed to enter the country alone. Please check the following and contact the Philippine Embassy for details.

※ Currently, only phone applications are available, so please call 1544-1717 if you want to apply for UM service.

Information

  • All documents must be prepared in person and applied at least 48 hours before departure (excluding business hours 09:00-17:30/weekends and holidays).
  • Airlines is not in charge of immigration. Therefore, Philippine Airlines only provides general necessary document guidance for your convenience, which can be changed without prior notice. Please check the Philippine Embassy in Korea for specific information on the entry of minors.
  • If you change the route, you have to make a refund and rebook.
  • UM service must be an adult fare-applied ticket and a service fee of 100,000 won will be incurred.

Service

  • Children is between 8 to 14 years old travelling alone on Philippine airlines flight.
  • If the guardian is under the age of 18.

Service route

  • Korea to the Philippines direct international flight.
  • If it is a local departure, you can apply for UM service through the local Philippine Airlines office.

Service details

  • Departure from: The airline staff in charge takes care of the child passengers at the check-in counter until boarding the aircraft.
  • In-flight: Flight attendants take care of the child passengers.
  • Destination: Accompanying care until the point when the staff meets with the guardian who is out to pick up the child passengers.

Service fee

  • Adult fare applied ticket (if it is a round-trip ticket, adult fare for the entire journey is required) + Service fee KRW 100,000.
  • It cannot be processed when applying for a ticket issued with a child fare.
  • You must prepare a separate entry fee (WEG) of 3,120 pesos for non-accompanied children and pay when entering the Philippines.
  • The entry fee (WEG) can be paid in pesos or dollars, and if it is paid in dollars, the same-day exchange rate will apply.

※ Since the original documents above are submitted by the Immigration Bureau, it is recommended to prepare an extra copy

Child traveling alone service refundable category

  • In case to cancel your trip
  • If you have an adult to accompany your child
  • If you become 15 years old after changing the schedule
  • If the flight is cancelled or changed by the airline for more than 2 hours

When entering Korea from the Philippines

  • Passengers over the age of 12 can travel by themselves.
  • Passengers between the ages of 8 and 12 can request for UM Service through a local Philippine Airlines Office when traveling to Korea.
  • Visit local ticket office with a guardian at least 1 week before departure and request for the service.
  • Service Charge: Approximately KRW 65,000 (Fees will not be refunded after the request is made)There may be additional cost on top of the service charges. For exact costs, please check with the local ticket office.

  • Entry Fee : PHP 3,120 Please keep the receipt after paying the fee. You will need it when leaving the Philippines.
  • Passenger shall be charged 100% of the fare.
